In plain terms – There is one roof line, the larger portion of the dwelling may contain three/four bedrooms, and ensuite and a main bathroom, kitchen, lounge/dining and usually an undercover alfresco area. This part of the dwelling is divided by a fire wall* and the secondary or smaller portion (floor to space ratio’s can differ depending upon local council guidelines) of the dwelling consisting of two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and living / dining areas.
Each residence is totally private having their own separate addresses, private entries, single garages, letterboxes and defined outdoor spaces. Each property has an individual set of water and electricity metres and NBN connections, however the property has only one set of council rates as councils view the construction to be a normal house.
